Flank steak is a very popular steak cut in Texas. People love it because It’s very lean, making it one of the healthiest beef options available. It also readily absorbs marinades, which opens up countless flavor options for this versatile piece of meat.
Here on the ranch, we cook a lot of beef and use tons of different marinades. It took some time, but we’ve narrowed things down to our three best flank steak marinades.
Although all of these marinades are different, the process of applying them and then cooking the beef is the same:
- To begin with, we always start with Premium Quality Texas Beef. Grass-fed, grain-finished meat not only tastes better, but it’s better for you and your family.
- Next, slice your Premium Quality Texas Flank Steak into manageable pieces.
- Once you’ve made the marinade, pour it into a gallon zip lock bag and add in the beef. Make sure to squeeze out all the air from the bag. Be careful not to squirt out all the marinade when you’re doing this. Mix things around so that all of the surfaces of the meat are covered with marinade.
- Leave the beef in the marinade for at least 30 minutes and preferably overnight.
- When you’re ready to cook the flank steak, you should cook it quickly at high temperatures. This gives it a nice crispy sear. You can use a pan or a grill.
